Assessments against pre-defined measures is an age-old practice. The science of assessments, however, is relatively new. Assessments are undergoing a sea of change with the introduction of new-age technologies like machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, gamification, natural language processing, voice recognition, crowdsourcing, social media and big data analytics. These technology solutions are fundamentally questioning the manner and beliefs of knowledge and talent assessments. Regardless of the format of assessment, technology is becoming a critical part of learning as well as student performance.
